Positive Behaviour Support
The purpose of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) program is to develop a more positive, engaging and caring school, and calmer classroom climate. It focuses on developing relationships, increasing positive comments, distributing rewards, improving student behaviour, while preventing or minimising behaviour problems. PBS is based on the collection and analysis of data from surveys and reports, and a review of current strategies. PBS is a priority in Euroa P.S. Annual Implementation Plan. After extensive consultation in 2012 with teachers, parents and students Euroa P.S. formulated our new school values E-U-R-O-A.

Bullying
Bullying is repeated verbal, physical, social or psychological behaviour that is harmful and involves the misuse of power by an individual or group towards one or more persons. It can have long-term effects on those involved.
Some conflicts between children are a normal part of growing up and are to be expected. These conflicts or fights between equals and single incidents are not considered bullying, even though they may be upsetting and need to be resolved.
Identifying bullying can sometimes be difficult. Bullying is often conducted out of sight of teachers, and children may be reluctant to report bullying.
Cyberbullying is a term used to describe bullying that is carried out through internet or mobile device technologies. Children who are cyberbullied are also likely to be bullied face-to-face.
Harassment occurs when someone is made to feel intimidated, insulted or humiliated.
The
National Safe Schools Framework NSSF (see attached PDF doc) provides schools with a set of guiding principles and strategies to help them provide a safe and supportive school community for students and the broader school community.
BULLYING NO-WAY! and
BULLY STOPPERS are websites which also provide information and resources on Bullying.

Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club operates every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning from 8:30am – 8:50am at no charge.
We welcome all students who have already had an early breakfast and needs a top up or to those who are having their first meal for the day.
Breakfast club is run by dedicated staff members, plus very generous parents and community volunteers who donate their time to come along and assist with the delivery of the breakfast program. If you would like to join the ranks of these wonderful volunteers, please contact our school office.
We are most grateful of any support we receive and welcome any donations of funds, food and support.
Breakfast Club not only gives students the opportunity to prepare their bodies and minds to learn for the day, but it also gives students the opportunity to socialize with peers and community members.
